- Quiz responses: your answers to our matching quiz including personality, social preferences, and dietary requirements
- Payment information: processed securely through our payment provider. HeyDer does not store your full card details

- Match you with a compatible dinner group based on your quiz responses
- Communicate your dinner details, match confirmation, and reminders
- Process your booking fee payment
- Inform our partner restaurants of dietary requirements and group sizes

3. Who We Share Your Information With
HeyDer does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share limited information only as follows:
- Partner restaurants: we share your first name, group size, and dietary requirements only — not your full contact details
- Payment processors: your payment details are handled by our secure third-party payment provider
- Legal requirements: we may disclose information if required to do so by law
4. Your Information and Other Attendees
HeyDer will never share your email address, phone number, or full name with other dinner attendees without your explicit consent. Other attendees will only know your first name and what you choose to share with them personally at the dinner.
HeyDer may repost, share or use photographs and videos taken by attendees during dinners across its platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok and heyder.nz for marketing and promotional purposes.
By signing up to a HeyDer dinner you consent to your image being used in this way should you appear in any attendee-captured content that HeyDer chooses to share.
You may request removal of any image in which you appear by contacting us at [your email]. We will action removal requests within 10 business days.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as you are an active HeyDer member. If you request deletion of your account and data, we will action this within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain information for legal or financial compliance purposes.
6. Your Rights
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 you have the right to:
- Access the personal information HeyDer holds about you
- Request correction of any inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Withdraw consent for us to use your information for marketing
